Character stats are divided into two categories: mental & physical, and divination.
Stats cap out at five with zero being nothing and five being an expert. Stats are chosen by the player’s discretion but may be collaboratively revised with the game master to keep things balanced.
All stats can have modifiers based on a variety of factors (mainly background). The modifier field on the characters will be filled in at the game master’s discretion based on your character’s background.
Mental & Physical Stats
A character must pick one stat in this category to specialize in (marked with a ★). A specialized stat category may lead to special situations and dialogue. The specialized stat automatically receives a +2 to its modifier.
Encyclopedia
A character’s depth of general knowledge and familiarity with a wide range of topics. By choosing this stat, you may consult your own knowledge to gain extra lore and context about any situation your character may encounter.
Drama
Your character’s ability to perform. This stat is broad and includes actions such as lying, trespassing, musical skill, and theatrics.
Empathy
How well a character can read others. A character with high empathy may pick up on the complicated emotions of those around them based on tone and facial expressions.
Influence
A character’s ability to influence others. Characters with high influence may know how to get what they want out of others.
Characters are given a modifier on this stat depending on their background.
Composure
A character’s ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Their mental stability in general is influenced by this stat.
Creativity
A character’s ability to think outside of the box. This skill also encompasses artistic skill and craftiness.
Health
A character’s stamina, physical condition, endurance, and how prone they are to warding off illness.
Characters may be given a health modifier depending on their background.
Combat
A character’s physical strength and skill in the combat field of their choosing.
Perception
A character’s ability to notice objects and situations around them, especially when something is amiss. A character with high perception with have a heightened sense of situational awareness and may pick up on small details in their environment.
Techbotany
Tech-savy characters have an awareness for how the technology they interface with functions, and may be able to utilize objects faster and more efficiently than their peers. They also might have specialized knowledge for particular fields of technology. Characters with high techbotany may excel at raising and pleasing plants.
Divination Stats
Whispers
A supernatural sixth sense that characters may or may not be attuned to. Characters with a high whispers stat may be able to sense strange things around them, or perhaps conversations from across the entire world. The credibility of these visions may or may not be accurate.
A character blessed with a [[Invocation]] is able to specialize (marked with ★) in one of two of their gods’ abilities. While they may be able to use abilities from both schools of divination, they may only specialize in one. If a character attains godhood, they may specialize in more than one divination.
The two schools of divination listed under each god below are not the extent of the powers that gifted characters may have. Powerful characters may forge their own path.
